Imani Network is a full service urban arts and entertainment media production company. We produce TV, film, web and social media content independently and in collaboration with organizations.
Imani Network was founded by Emmy Award-winning TV producer Imani Muleyyar in 2022 as a free media platform for performing artists in his hometown of Baltimore. Since then, the network has expanded to produce broadcast length documentary and scripted programming for commercial release.
To aid in the expansion, Imani started a workforce development program in Baltimore, teaching predominantly urban students media production skills and providing them jobs on Imani Network projects as well as in the broader TV and film industry.
The goal of Imani Network is to turn filmmaking into a communal activity for urban populations to tell their stories and build careers both in front of and behind the camera.
